“Yet no one stopped you from leaving,” he replied before he leaned over and ran his tongue over the scar on her cheek before he whispered in her ear. “You’re finding reasons to stay.”
A shiver ran down her spine with the action. She shoved him away, still using her powers. “Yet I know better. I’m just going to get hurt. Both physically and emotionally.”
